Chris Pollard
Chris Pollard is a Melbourne-based software engineer and ex-project manager with a unique background and a passion for open-source software and freedom technology.
With initial studies in Theatre and Teaching, his career trajectory took a fascinating turn in 2021, when he transitioned from project management in the public university sector to software development, fuelled by his discovery of bitcoin and a desire to be closer to the source (code).
He's a committee member for the Victorian Bitcoin Technology Club and an active member of the Bitcoin community in Melbourne, organises monthly events, runs a full node and contributes to open-source projects.
Chris is a firm believer in neutral money and the Bitcoin network's potential to revolutionise the world.
