While Principal at Wooranna Park Primary School in Dandenong North, Victoria he transformed ideas to reality with his firm belief that if young children are to maximise their learning, then schools must be a place of optimism, excitement and challenge. Students had agency and were leaders of their own learning. They ran their own parliament and also eagerly chose their own enigma missions to deeply explore topics that were of particular interest to them.
It’s no surprise the George Lucas Foundation featured Wooranna Park Primary School as the first and only Australian school filmed by Edutopia.
